Hearth is a concept earth home that reimagines traditional African courtyard architecture within the rhythms of contemporary life. The design is expressed through the use of SSB earth brick and interior finishes—such as wall and floor tiles—that carry the earthen language through both architectural and interior applications.

Set within a peri-urban Kenyan context, the home is designed with quiet sensitivity. A modest exterior respects local construction logic while also addressing practical needs like privacy and security, allowing the structure to integrate seamlessly with its surroundings.

Inside, the home opens up to a sense of measured luxury. Crafted details—grounded in the same earthen strategy—appear in bespoke flooring, wall treatments, and lighting. A lush internal courtyard offers a calm, hidden outdoor experience—one that remains invisible from the street, but central to the interior atmosphere of the house.
